Coach Murphy receiving DTM award from District Governor

Our founder Coach Murphy has been awarded the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) from Toastmasters International (TI) at the recent District 51 Toastmasters International 20th Semi-Annual Convention 2012. The DTM award, being the highest educational accomplishment in TI, is awarded to candidates who have achieved both the Advance Communicator Gold (ACG) and Advance Leader Silver (ALS) awards. It took Coach Murphy a total of 7 years of dedicated service and leadership in his local club, area and division to earn this prestigious accolade. DTM candidates must have presented a minimum of 40 public presentations which fulfilled the guidelines stated by TI.

Here are some of the Coach Murphy’s effort prior to receiving the DTM award….

  • A High-Performance Leadership (HPL) project entitled ‘The Toastmasters Showcase’
  • Chief facilitator for a Youth Leadership Program for 20 teenagers.
  • Served as Club President for Sunway Toastmasters Club.
  • Served as Area Governor for Area C4.
  • Served as Club Mentor for a newly-formed toastmasters club.
  • Mentored numerous new club members at Sunway Toastmasters Club with their speech assignments.
  • Mentored numerous club members to become champion speakers at club, area, division and district level.
